So I went out last night and ended up going in to possibly the worst club in Derby. Whilst we were in there I noticed that there were lots of different quotes on the wall and I particularly liked this one...
''When our time is up we will say we had fun.''
(Sidenote: I'm very impressed that I remembered this despite my..erm...slightly drunken state)
I have no idea where this quote is from, I've tried googling it and found no answers. I really like this, I think it's a slightly more grown up way of saying 'YOLO' maybe?
I don't know, I just feel like there's a mutual but unsaid thought that as we reach a certain age we should stop doing certain things, even if we enjoy it, just because we're 'too old'. For example; me and Megan, my friend, were talking the other day and we said how we miss the times from when we were 14 and used to play hide and seek with WKDs (haha how embarrassing), or how we used to sing a long to S Club 7, whilst eating takeaways..just because we enjoyed it. But we don't do anything like this anymore because despite probably still enjoying it, as 19 year olds it would probably be classed as pretty sad.
I really am going to try to not be bothered about what other people think anymore and just do what I will enjoy. This way, when it comes to it I will be able to say (when my time is up) that I did, indeed, have fun.
Slightly philosophical post today..I didn't mean for it to be!
